I'm confused! My supervisor has pointed a gun at me, shoved me against a door while yelling, suspended me for 3 days without pay after I took my daughter to the doctor. The best part he admitted all this to HR after I complained. Hr informed me that this was a private matter and felt a heart to heart between my supervisor and I was best, They would be there to mediate of course.Long story short the CEO at work told me he had talked to my supervisor and found his honesty refreashing and that I needed to understand he may have a different style of managment then I was use to. Also What right does HR have to call my Doctor asking if my daughter was there and why I needed to stay with her ( she's 3) and how sick she realy was. I am at my end here I can't afford to quit and after the shove and gun issues were brushed under the table the verbal harassment has gotten worse as if he had a gold card allowing him to do as he pleases.Since this all started I have been written up at every chance he gets for things other employees do daily. I'm also reminded daily that I underminded his authority by going over his head and that if I were a man I'd come straight after him. I'm beeing forced out what do I dowho can help? I'm scared if I have him arrested it would escelate things jepordizing my wife and kids.

You need to seek the advice of an attorney. There is such a thing as a hostile work environment. You need to contact the EEOC or your city's Human Resources Department/Human Rights Commission. I know of a case where, due to hostile working environment, the employee had reason to not wait to be fired. He is being paid a severence package as a result. But he did seek out an attorney.

I in fact did call the police and sit down and interview. I made a full report but pressed no charges as just the thought of pressing charges upsets my wife. We figure it will only add fuel to the fire and my supervisor will end up escilating the stakes by showing up at my home.

Listen.

This is assault. Plain and simple. No one has the right to pull a gun on you. That's threat of bodily harm. Press the charges, have him up on assault. With a weapon, that's a felony offense. The DA will press the charges, you don't need to hire an independent lawyer. He physically grabbed you, that's illegal. Ask yourslef a simple question or two:
If this happened to your wife, would you ignore it.
2. If your boss raped you would you ignore it. No one act of
violence is any the worse or less in the eyes of justice.
File the charges. If he comes after you, file an injunctive protective order. It'll be damned hard for him to work with you when he's restricted to being no less than 100 yards away from you at all times. Press the charges, it'll get worse if you don't.
