What is the name of your state? NC

I posted an earlier thread regarding a rejected settlement offer to Capital One. When people started giving me help their responses were deleted and the thread closed. When I started a thread asking why, it was closed as well.

If I have violated forum rules in some way, I would like to be told that so I don't do so in the future, instead of just closing my threads for no apparent reason.

in your earlier thread you said NC has a 10,000 homestead exemption, well not anymore, it has been increased to $18,500. Which puts you in an even better position. you already stated you can\'t pay so your best bet is to do nothing at this point. if you are really judgment proof as you say, if you are sued the credit card company will see this during the discovery process and may be willing to settle at that point. just make sure you respond if a suit is filed. also if you wind up getting a judgment you have to declare those exemptions. if it comes to this after several years of not paying and you are still judgment proof, make another settlement offer. unless you go over the exemptions there is not much they can do but be a pain in the ass for the next few years until you either file bankruptcy again or reach a settlement.
