My father died recently and my elderly mother does not know if she is responsible for his hospital and medical bills that she is receiving. They are in his name, not both. She is on a small fixed income and cannot afford an attorney.
Thanks

The estate of the deceased is responsible for all final bills and/or anyone who made him/herself the guarantor.
