wife abandon husband and child

wife moved out to live with her girlfriend left me and a 3year old girl. I have my child with me, wife say she needs a break and want to live her life without me and our child now she say she want to end everything between us and i can keep our child because she can't live her life taking care of a child. now she want me to move out of the house with our child and move in the apt where her and her girlfriend live, so they can have the house to live in, the house is in both our names. this house is the only place my child can call home. when my wife do come by and when she get ready to leave she tell our child she is going to her house so now my child tell everyone this is daddy an my house mom house is at her friend house. i want my child to grow up in this house, where she fell safe. what can i do to help me and my child stay in the house. please help i live in NC.

First you change the locks, then you retain a Family Law Attorney and file for legal seperation with you having temp custody of the child and you residing in the house.
