What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
My wife is a bartender in Florida and recently has been bullied by a patron. She would, of course like to refuse this customer service, but her superiors have forbidden her to do so. The manager has laughed and the GM has told her to do her job. While this does not fall under harassment guidelines they are allowing an abusive workplace to exist. She definitely feels as if her job is in jeopardy if she takes action on her own(restraining orders, trespass warrants, etc...). Management still allows this patron to come in and be abusive and intimidating. My wife is severly stressed over this and has had problems sleeping. Is there any legal recourse in Florida or Federal law?
