I'm a UK citizen about to marry a US citizen, who lives in Florida state.

He is about to file for personal bankruptcy. He has no property or assets to be recovered by creditors.

My question is this.........

Once married will my property and assets in the UK be reclaimed by his creditors to pay back his debts? Or will my property and assets remain intact?

OR if he filed for bankruptcy before we marry, would it be a safer option for us both?

Would really appreciate some help on this one?? :)
