What is the name of your state? illinois. In kansas law, when and does a will get filed with the county court? Does it become public record and can a copy of that will be requested? How does one dispute a will or go about making a claim to an estate?

When the person passes away if there is a will it will be filed and anyone can get a copy at the office where this is handled in your area.

If one thinks they have a claim against an estate then one obtains an Atty to protect ones interests if the estate is of a size to even warrant the expense of the Atty.

First and foremost one must determine if they have a legitmate reason to contest the will and an Atty can best help you answer this question before proceeding.

Which county in Kansas would the will be filed if the deceased lived in Mission Kansas? How soon after the death would the will have to be filed?
