No.Remember the old McDonald's commercials - feed a family of four for 4 dollars?
I work in Detroit late at night. There are no armed guards in the McDonald's but there are often more than a few interesting characters hanging out.Just don't visit a center city fast food place late at night ...unless you know the turf..some have armed guards ..some do not ..
I avoid the gas stations. Those tend to be the places around Detroit where late night visits are made by unsavory people with guns.Several years ago I went to a KFC in what (I thought) wasn't that bad of a neighborhood They had bullet-proof glass between the employees and the customers.
