What is the name of your state? Maine

My mother lived in NC, recently passed away while visiting sister in MA. I had no idea she had a will until I got a notice from a NC attorney telling me I was a beneficiary of her will that just went to probate. Couple of questions:

1. Can I get a copy of the will?
2. Do I need to take any action since I've been named a beneficiary?

Unfortunately relations with rest of family not positive, so things are compicated (job security for lawyers :) ) She was very well off so may be some financial significance here. Thanks

1. Can I get a copy of the will?

A: Yes; ask the probate court for a complete copy of the whole file.

2. Do I need to take any action since I've been named a beneficiary?

A: You will find out after you read a copy of the whole file.
