What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia. I am toward the back end of my relationship with a girl and I am afraid she is going to damage electronics, clothing, etc. Does my renters insurance cover this sort of damage?

depends on your policy. Read it. it will have a list of things that are covered and those that are excluded. Generally, for personal property, there are "covered perils" look for those and then read any exclusions that may apply, and at any limits that apply to personal property. That would likely be considered vandalism. read carefully, and good luck!!

Vandalism would normally be a covered cause of loss....however, does she live there? If so, is this a policy you carry together? My fiance and I carry one renters policy for both of us, so since we are both on that policy, it MIGHT not cover one policyholder damaging the other's property, because of potential for fraud. Call them and ask them.

It would not cover the situation you just described. Congrats on your engagement. I don't remember reading about that before.
