I was cited for failing to yield on a left turn that resulted in an accident. At pretrial, the assistant prosecutor said the other driver and the officer will be at my trial. My question is, are they required to show up? I would like the driver to show up so that I can ask questions. I would like the officer to be there as well to confirm statements made by the other driver. I am actually worried about either not being there.

Thanks for your help.

Actually you will be better off if the other driver does not show since that only leaves the officer to testify against you. The officer's testimony can be limited with objections since he did not see the accident. However, if you are serious about beating the ticket, either hire an attorney or spend some time in court observing trials.
