Just curious? Why are you looking into the situation now?

For whatever city he died in, there is a county courthouse probate court for that area. Check at that county courthouse probate court--if you know the month and year that the death took place, the probate court clerk can look in her indexes to see if your father's name comes up and if a probate file was opened for his estate. If a probate file is there, you can look at the file or order copies by mail, if you wish.

Thanks for getting back so soon. I'm doing my family tree and when someone mentioned wills, it occured to me that I had not heard of one. I'm sure his wife got it all. No big deal. If I wanted anything I would have said something. We are looking for HER family to see if any of our family possessions are with them.
