We are in Florida. My husband was arrested for domestic violence. He was high and after money. We struggled when I tried to get my purse away from him and he pushed me off of him. He did not hit me. They are telling me I have to give testimony and if I don't show up they can MAKE me. I said I do not want to press charges and they say the state is picking up the charges. The police said he "beat me up" which is not true, and on a past incident, he broke my nose when he threw a book at me. He did throw a book and it did hit me in the nose, but I don't believe my nose was broke and I never told them it was. I did not go to the hospital nor did I call the police. He has not been charged with domestic violence before. How can they make me testify against my own husband? I'm not pressing charges!
