What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? TX (and CA)

I live and work in Texas. I am paid by a corporation that is headquartered in California. I asked before I started work for them if I had to pay California state income tax and they said no.

However, I am getting California state taxes withheld.

I live and work in Texas - I work from home as a telecommuter.

Anyone know what I should do?

Thanks

Yes, tell the payroll department to straighten out your withholding! Tell them you want back the money they withheld, you neither live nor work in CA, so they should not be taking tax out.
