I suggest calling or writing the department of labor and filing a complaint. Talk with an attorney that represents employees in labor disputes; find out if you have a cause for some type of claim based on the company's violation of labor laws.

I would also file a complaint with the state of California's Work Comp Division. They can investigate both your employer as well as the "doctors" involved. Nothing makes me madder than shady Dr's - they give the good ones a bad name. Good luck!
