I live in Tx. I was injured 7-11-00 and filed a work comp claim. while recieving my IIB's I was released back to work at the end of 4-01. I then revieved about a week later a letter from my employer notifying me of my termination from employment that was effective as of 01-01-01, due to being off my job for too long. Can they legally do this? can they terminate me and wait 5 months to notify me? can they terminate me in less than six months from my date of injury?
