What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina
I was injured last June when I fell at work. I completed all paper work and went to the doctor. My back starting killing me and I went to my doctor, I have had several procedures in which I paid for because I was scared I would loose my job over the workers compensation. Later I was transferred to another school, I am a high school counselor, and before I started working I explained to my direct supervisor, Principal, and central office of my back issues. I have been late many times, with a doctor's note, because I can not lift my arm but so high to get dressed, curl my hair, or even brush my teeth. Now my principal wants to document me for my tardiness. Can you legally do that if there is a documented illness/injury on file?
