My C Corporation has been located in Nevada since 1998. As an engineer, I plan to live and work as a contractor in California. The California Company I will be working for will pay my C Corporation in Nevada my gross wages. In turn, my C Corporation will pay me (as an employee of my C Corp) the gross monthly salary minus payroll taxes (including all required CA Taxes). Lets assume that this arrangement is absolutely the very best for my personal situation.

In this case, what type of agreement should I have between the California Company and my C Corp? Would the company in California be required to give my C Corp a 1099 at the end of the year? Would I, as an engineer working for the California Company be considered an independent contractor to the California Company?
