What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Vt...Hi everyone. Hope everyone has a happy new year too. Anyways, can an employer put you on for two days in a row working a double without asking you? I work as a nurse's aide and one shift is exhausting enough. ty

Generally speaking, yes they may. A very few states have limits on the number of hours straight a nurse can be required to work, but I don't know of any states where this goes down to an aide level. If you are a CNA, contact your licensing board and ask them.
