Hello,

I have one job currently from big tech (FAANGM) company in Seattle WA and I have another fully remote job from manufacturing sector (different industry compared to my current employer). I have a green card (permanent resident).

1. Is it allowed if I will be applying for paternity leave (receiving state benefits from Washington State from one company where I am currently working ) and simultaneously working for another company remotely (fully remote job)? Wanted to understand if it is allowed legally?

2. Wanted to understand if is it legal to paternity leave benefits from Washington State while working for another fully remote job being a a permanent resident (i.e., I have a green card) or is it not allowed and considered illegal?

3. Let me know if I need to be aware of anything for this or any complications or something can happen due to this that I should be aware of? Or any issues for naturalization (citizenship)?

Please guide and give advise. Thanks a lot.

Are you saying that you are working two full time jobs during the same working hours? Are both of your employers aware of this? Whether or not this might be an issue, legally, depends on the laws in your state, and any contracts you signed with the employers. but if it is, the fact that you have a green card is not relevant to the issue. If it is a problem legally, it would be the same for a US citizen OR green card holder. If you are working distinctly different working hours then it definitely would not be a problem legally

Certainly your two employers could possibly have an objection to this arrangement if they are not already aware.

I see absolutely nothing in the OP to say that he is claiming two jobs during the same working hours. There is nothing at all to suggest that he is not working, for example, 9-5 on site and then coming home and working 6-1 remotely. Which is perfectly legal.

I did say that if the hours were different it definitely would not be a problem, legally.
