What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I am posting this on behalf of my friend who is in this situation, I told him I would do the research. This is the situation.

He is a consultant who has not been able to find a job in the DFW area and has taken a job in another state. He comes home for his visitation weekends, but is not here for pick up, as his flight gets in late that evening. In the CO, it states that he is able to designate a competent adult to pick up/drop off the child. The ex is stating that she will not allow the child to go with that competent adult (in this case the child's grandparent or aunt) if he is not there. Isn't that custodial interference?

And, if he is unable to come back for one of his weekends, is the grandparent or aunt allowed to keep the child in his absence, or does she have to remain with the mom?

Any guidance would be appreciated, as neither one of us understands what he is able to do in this situation. He has to make a living in order to pay child support, so he has to work outside the area. Please advise. Thank youWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If dad is going to be home for his visits then he can have another adult pick up. If mom denies then that is CONTEMPT of court and dad should file a motion to show cause.

If dad is NOT going to be home HIS visitation IS NOT transferable.
