What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

I have browsed these posts but did not see anything pertaining to my issue, please forgive me if I missed it.

On October 3rd I injured my arm at work, muscle strain. I was sent to the hospital where they diagnosed it as "tennis Elbow". I was resticted to right arm work only. They had me doing a bunch of bs jobs but thats not important. I was to return to full duty on the 13th however after discussing it with my supervisor we both agreed that due to the fact I was still having some pains in my arm that it would be best to get a re-evalutaion.

They reffered me to a clinic where the Dr. determined it was not "tennis elbow" rather it was a muscle strain. I was refferd to therepy. I am to go to therepy 3x over a 2 week period. These apoitments fall durring my regular work hours requiring me to either leave work early or to report late. All in all I will loose about 12 hrs of work.

I apologize for the long description but getting to the point. I stoped in my companys HR department today and asked them about the apointment. They will excuse me for the apointments however I was told I would not be paid for those hours. The loss of these hours in themself will cost me a little over $200.00 before taxes in addition to the fact Im unable to work what is currently mandatory overtime on Saturday wich is costing me another $400.00. Seems to me to be a pretty big loss of income considering I was injured on the job.

I am under the impresion that I can get reimbursed for travel expense going to the apointments however I am wondering do have any legal right to at the very least get compensated for the lost hours incurred durring my therepy?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice

Hi MJB,

I am a bit confused. The doctor thinks your injury is serious enough to require PT, but isn't giving you any work restrictions? I think you need to talk with your doctor again. As far as making up the time - WC does not do that. Perhaps now is time to use vacation time?

Good luck

WC issue

The Dr did put me on a 10-15 Lb weight restriction untill further notice. Soory, I did not mention that. I kind of went a litte overboard on the information my biggest question was about the loss of hours at work due to having the PT sessions. Seems like a catch 22 here, if I dont go to the PT then I could get denied all benifits but if I do go I loose money by not being at work. Doesnt make a lot of sense to me, I was hurt on the job and now it will cost me. Im not sure how that all works.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
