What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL
My ex was issued a Writ of body for not showing up for a contempt case. I was told it was a warrant for arrest equivalent.
My question is how quick are these executed by the authorities or do they pretty much just hope they get pulled over and arrested that way? I mean is there typically a law enforcement entity that executes these arrests?
Should my x show up in court voluntarily on the next scheduled hearing not related to the contempt case, will she still be placed in custody and have to post bail? Or does she not get arrested anymore being that she showed up in court for something unrelated? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
