I need some advice. I live in Philadelphia, PA and am in the last month of a 12 month lease for my apartment. 60 days before the end of the lease (November) I gave my landlord notice that I wasn't going to renew my lease. It came about in the end of November that he was showing my apartment and found out that I was moving due to the fact that he was raising the amount of the rent. We discussed this and he offered, since I'm a good tenant, to give me the option of a six month lease (which I had asked about previously and he had said no) at the same price of my current rent. I agreed to take his offer and said that we should put something down on paper. He said that I could go ahead and write something up and he would sign it and get a copy of it. It also happens that someone might be purchasing the building while I live here under the six month lease which so far, has not been written up. I need to know what I should do about this and how I should write up the lease. So far, I'm using the previous lease as a template. I really need help so I don't screw myself over by leaving something out in the lease.

Call your local Board of Realtors office and ask where their bookstore or customer service is. Then go and buy the form which comes in a pad. You will be charged a non Realtor member price so ask how much.
