I'm in GA - -

I write child-support checks to a friend of mine's ex-wife...he doesn't have a bank account. Every check I write to her she writes comments on the front when depositing...

comments like :

"3 wks behind as of 1-21-05 - thanks"

I've even gotten a call from my bank telling me that she came into the bank to cash a check i had written to her & was making horrible comments about me to the tellers

So, if you want the comments to stop tell your 'friend' to get a bank account and take care of his own life. Otherwise, you have nothing.

If this is true, it is not defamatory. Besides, she's not making any comments about you.

We are not allowed to pull teeth.

Dental regulations, you know.

What did she say?

How were you damaged?

Details and facts....

Ever heard of Money Orders?

Why don't you tell your friend to buy money orders, they are like $1. Why does he have you write the checks? Make a photo copy of the money order, then he has proof he paid. It's not worth your hassle to save him $1 or $2.
