I am being pro-rated for one-weeks worth of rent. I failed to provide a 30 day written notice of my intent NOT to renew my lease prior to its fulfillment. Although verbal notification was given twice; approx. 60 and 90 days prior
(written was six days late).

Landlord claims that the fair housing committee would file a suit against them if they retracted the fee for me and not everyone else? Does it make a difference if i moved out two weeks prior to the official date? Do two verbals compensate for 6 days late on the written? Or am I S.O.L?

To bad to ruine a good feeling about a rental company like they have now!
