wrong date on lease

my lease is for 12 months,but the dates on the lease say 1/15/2000 to 12/31/200. does the missing 0 in 2000 account for a unbinding contract. i'm trying to move out this month

My response:

I rather seriously doubt it. An extrapolation of the date could not mean 1999, or 2001, because you said that you have a 12 month lease. Therefore, since the lease was entered into in January 2000, and since the rest of the date says "12/31", it could not possibly mean, or be, any other date beside the year 2000. Therefore, it is my belief that the contract is not voidable.

Find a better excuse as your first one will not fly.
