OK, here's the story. I was riding in the passenger seat - 2 friends in the car and one dealer. We left a party to go to another party. Decided to not go to the other party and drop off this dealer. We don't exactly hang out with those people. We bought $20 worth of coke on the way and stuck it in an envelope in the glove compartment. When we pulled in the driveway to drop the dealer off, all the sudden there were 6 cop cars arroung us, we're being surrounded by about 15 federal agents with guns. They say everyone out of the car, hands up. When we get out, before they even find any drugs, they say we're all being arrested for an investigation of possesing and trafficing narcotics. They search the dealer and find all his stuff. Then search the car and find the coke. We're all taken to the city jail, finger printed, mug shots taken, and all. We're told nothing about what's going to happen. We sit there for 14 hours. Then one by one, a detective tries to question us. I didn't say anything or sign the Miranda rights thing. So, he told me I'm released, and that within 30 days there will most likely be a warrant out for my arrest for the possesion of narcotics, and I could spend 5 years in the pen for it - since it was in there car and so was I. So, I'm released, no court date, no nothing. Now I'm just sitting here waiting to get arrested again. What should I do? How can they just issue a warrant without me even knowing???? I need help here!!!!

First of all you were correct in not giving a statement without a lawyer present.A warrent can be issued on probable cause and you don't have to recieve advance warning. It can be issued and you'll know when your arrested.I would absolutely consult an attorney, some will not charge for a consultation.Don't sit and wait, be prepared just in case.
