I'm thinking this is impossible but thought I'd post a few places and see.
May 2005 I accepted a job as a Telecom Consultant with CountryWide. This was to be a 6 month contract with possible hire. After signing the "contract" a background check was run and CountryWide did not like my poor credit history and DMV records (No DUI or Accidents) but the hiring managers really wanted me and where able to obtain a waiver letter to hire me anyway.
After a few months of excellent performance on my part I was contacted by the manager of the Telecom Engineering team asking if I would like to join CountryWide permanantly. Of course I agreed but I asked the question "When I was initially interviewing for CountryWide my credit report was a concern and their was a waiver. Will there be a background check and if so will there be any possibility of me losing my current position due to my credit report or DMV records (nothing had changed takes a couple years)."
The answer was no that they already have a waiver on file for that.
She made the offer for the position via company email and I accepted verbally and via company email.
A background check was run.
I was let go from my contract.

I have email chains that confirm all of this and the same emails will be on their company email servers/backups.

Oh and this is in California.

Due to being let go as a contractor I was not qualified for unemployment and due to the very specialized skillset I have I was unemployed for 6 months.

Is there a case for anything here?

Any info is appreciated
Thanks!

You don't have a "wrongful termination" case, but you may have other remedies available, depending on the content of your original 6 month contract.

The contract states that at the end of the 6 month contract the contract will be renewed indefinately. Contract will terminate on my last day of employment.

If what you posted is accurate, then you have no case. Your contract ended when you were terminated.
I suspect your contract is much more in-depth than what you posted though.

Possible Fair Credit Claim

One thing I'd like to add is that it is illegal to take an adverse action against someone using an illegally obtained credit report. So, depending on whether you did sign a waiver (and if that waiver is sufficient), you might have something to go on, because under that law you are able to recover any damages that result from use of the report.
