i was fired when my boss found out that i e-mailed my resume to a potential employer. i reside in colorado. do i have any rights? we did not have a handbook or any contract that said that i could not persue other employment. Also, one week before my termination, we discussed our plans for the new year.

It's not only legal, it's fairly common. This does not remotely come close to the definition of wrongful termination.
