Fact: A bartender called the police and made up lies by saying that my boyfriend assaulted me and slam my head against the wall. Police came, took statement from the bartender; arrested my boyfriend when I(the involved party) told the police officers nothing has happend(the truth), the police charged me with Obstruction of justice then when I extended my hand to my boyfriend (he was booked in the back of the car) the officer said that I am going to jail because I assaulted my boyfriend. There was no scratch on my face or what so ever, the police still arrested my boyfriend. Is this legal?? when we get our charges dropped, can I file countersue and slander against the officers (they were being rough on me when I was supposed to be the victim), Can my boyfriend sue the individuals and the bartender's company for liable or slander? Please help. Thanx

Were there any other witnesses? If so what did they see and what will they say? Why did the bartender do this? Does he have a good or bad record? Why would cops just go after you too?

This whole thing sounds fishy and I just can't believe your story. If I don't I am sure that without some proof, another lawyer won't and a jury won't.
