I feel that I have been wrongfully demoted from my job and would like to know what steps I need to take. I got my value stream manager in trouble and he retaliated telling lies and now I am out of my position

Whether or not you have any recourse depends entirely on whether any employment laws were violated by your employer. Being unfairly demoted is not unlawful in and of itself.
