What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania
I ordered tickets from Stub hub back in February for a game at Yankee stadium in July for my husband’s birthday. Stub Hub sent several emails. One of which said that we would get our tickets around 7/21 (just 2 days before the game we were supposed to see). Then we got an email on April 1st stating that our tickets were being sent (to be honest I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it since it said that we would get them in July, originally. Fed Ex claims they left the tickets on our front porch on April 3rd with no signature required. I did not receive them.
I would have been so excited when the tickets got here that I would have emailed my husband and put them in a safe place. I called Fed Ex and they said that they, of course, were delivered and that only the sender can file a claim. I have called the ticket company and they claim that they cannot have the tickets reprinted because they cannot get in touch with the original purchaser of the tickets. I called the ticket office at Yankee stadium and told them that I have all the email documentation and can get a copy of my credit card statement that proves we bought the tickets from Stub Hub (the official company for Yankee tickets) and they said sorry they can't accept that. I sent money to the stadium about a month ago to have my husband’s birthday announced on the scoreboard (why would I have done that if I didn't really purchase the tickets)?
Stub Hub has a ticket guarentee but that is only good for 7 days after you get the tickets. Since I didn't know that I supposedly received them I didn't call them. Fed ex says that they can't tell me anymore since they were delivered in April. We do not have a screen door (but we will be getting one now!!) so they reportedly left the package on the front porch. It has been very windy here this year so there is a good possibility that if they did deliver it that it gone blown away. I am usually home at the time they say they delivered the tickets because that is the time that my son would have been taking a nap. When Fed ex comes around to deliver a package they NEVER ring the doorbell. They always just leave packages on peoples steps. I have checked with my neighborhood and no one else received them by mistake. Do you have any suggestions?
