What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

My father passed away a few months ago and there is no will. No money, no house... just some household items left and a useless car. I was told that since it was less then 20,000 of titled stuff... there is nothing to probate and that me and my only sibling have to settle things. Now I want to hold the stuff and try to sell it to help with the funeral costs... I got to the "stuff" first... does my sibling have any grounds to force me to give 1/2? If so, do I have any grounds to get 1/2 of the money for the funeral?

This is ugly!
