What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana

My son (age 15) is dating a younger girl (age 14). I just found out they have had consensual sex.

Is he / she breaking Louisiana law?

I see a lot of references to "17" being the legal age of consent, and references to "adults" but since both parties are minors, is my son breaking the law?

Thank you for any help,

They're not breaking the law when it comes to the age of consent...
I seriously hope that's not your only concern.

Just as a point of reference, they are not young adults, they are minors. However, after reviewing the following website:

http://www.ageofconsent.us/state-laws/louisiana-age-of-consent-laws/

it does not appear that they have broken any laws since they are both under 17 and are less than two years apart in age. However, I suspect that if the parents of the 14 year old girl find out about the sex, or if she ends up pregnant, I suspect that things will become VERY unpleasant for everyone.

I recommend that you make sure that the two of them are never unsupervised again...particularly under your watch.

Interestingly enough, the OP never said that s/he had any other concerns
Of course not! Boy's will be boy's after all...

OP will be back when Jr's GF "get's preggers". Thread title will be "Why should my baby boy pay support????"

I guess I misinterpreted this site's meaning of "Juvenile". I mistakenly thought it was referencing law, and not the children that lurk here...
For a moment I thought you meant your own child was here lurking but apparently knowing where your children are isn't one of your strongest points.
