My wife is working as an Independent Contractor for a business. (Whether she actually is an I.C., is for another discussion)
She's been working this way for about 5 years. No written contract. She makes a percentage of collections on the work she does. She's supposed to get paid on the first of the month for last month's collections. The owner has a habit of not paying on time, for example, it's now the 18th of the month and it doesn't look like she'll be seeing any money for last month anytime soon. What, if any, recourse would she have to force him into paying him?
