paid vacation/personal/sick time after resignation?

I have recently resigned from my job, Is it by law that I must get paid for my un-used vacation time and or personal/sick time.? Please respond thank you.

California requires that a departing employee be paid for all earned but unused vacation time. No State requires that an employer pay out unused personal and/or sick time.

What if employer, refuses to pay earned but unused vacation time?
