What is the name of your state? California

My Workers' Comp case was settled 2 ½ years ago and now I just received a Notice of Hearing from the Division of Workers' Compensation for a Lien Conference. I contacted the attorney that represented me for my case and settlement, but all he said was, "don't worry about it and you don't even have to be present". Apparently, now that he received his cut, he can't be bothered to help explain. I researched Lien Conference online and it sounds like it concerns the doctors and Workers' Comp regarding fees and payments. Is that true? And, is this going to effect me in anyway?

If your attorney said you don’t need to be concerned, you shouldn’t be concerned. Your attorney will appear at the hearing. You don’t need to. The lien conference is for those who are/were included in the workers compensation claim and who seek/sought payment for their services, like the doctors who treated you.
