What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AL

I had a case that I lost and the attorney that represented me left town to practice elsewhere. He recommended another which took my case and said I had a good case for re-trial or appeal. At the least he would be able to mitigate the judgement to be lesser. Now 2 years later I cannot get a hold of him. His cell number is disconnected, his office number does not take incoming calls, got another number for him from the courthouse and left several messages with no reply. Went to his office and he is no longer there but searching thru court server, he has an appearance on a different case on 23 Feb. Maybe I can catch him there but doubt it.

What can I do? I still have an appeal on docket without a date?

helifixer, you already have two threads in progress. All seem to center on the same legal concern. Please do not start additional threads. Instead, add all of your additional questions to one of your other threads. Thanks.

To locate an attorney, contact the state Bar Association.

My apologizes... I didn't want to do a big long essay that touch on different subject.

There is no need to apologize, helifixer.

A lot of first-time posters to this forum do exactly what you have done, thinking that each question they have requires a different thread. However, it makes it far easier on the volunteers who offer advice here to have all related questions consolidated. Knowing all of the facts behind a query can make a difference in the advice that is offered.

So ... I suggest you stick to one of your other two threads. Both already have responses.

Thank you - and good luck. :)
