pay parking ticket on temporary tag?

What is the name of your state? NYC
Just got my eigth parking ticket this month for parking more than an hour this morning on my 1 week old car that has a New Jersey temporary tag on the upper rear window of my car. Do I need to pay this ticket or can I just throw it out , since I didnt get my actual plates and registration? Btw, the ticket has the car's vin number and the temporary tag number on it.
