We live in Pa, my stepson is on Probation, he continues to do things violating his probation, the probation officer doesn't seem to care. He will be turning 18 in less then two weeks, and now, after his last incident, which was bringing porn dvd's into our home and watching them in his room, she is telling us that because he is on probation, and only in 10th grade, that we have to continue to support him and have him in our home until he is off probation. My question is, can we be legally forced to continue to support a child who has reached his majority? The police have been to our home 6 times in the last two weeks, regarding his activities in other indiscretions, and regardless of whether we like it or not, we have other younger children whose lives are being disrupted by his actions. It just seems to me, that his probation is being used to control us, when we did nothing wrong and have worked with the authorities at every turn. Anyone have any information regarding this?
