New York - I am currently preparing an application to have the conditions lifted off my permanent resident card which has to be done in the 90 day period prior to when it expires (July 1). The applicaiton is pretty simple and I intend to have it sent early next week.
The only problem is I am going abroad on June 14 and will not be returning until July 4, which is 3 days after my temporary card runs out. What is the procedure for this? Do I take the reciept of the application to have the conditions removed with me? Would this suffice to proove I am in a legitimate process and a permanent resident?
