What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Texas

My attorney asked me to meticulously keep documentation or bring any I had to court concerning the abuse my children and I suffered for seven years. When I gave him the file, he brushed it away and hushed me! My children and I suffered terrible abuse from my ex who is a porn addict and has anger management problems. He failed to pay child support for some months and put me in a tremendous financial bind. On a temporary basis, I came to Utah to get help from my family as well as help out with my grandmother who has suffered a series of strokes. Now he is demanding custody of the children; children he never saw when he was in Texas but once a month, never called, not for birthdays, holidays, nothing, and abandoned them in a neighbor's driveway where no one was home. My children are in danger and I need help. Court is on Sept. 8th and I'm being told no abuse can be discussed that happened before the divorce was finalized. PLEASE HELP! Response needed by Friday, Sept. 2nd.
My current attorney is advising me to just hand my children over to him to avoid any jail time I may have to serve for any visitation he did not get. I did not withhold any visitation from him. He chose not to visit the children, even after I offered to pay him out of the child support!!!!

I feel your pain....

Sounds like you need another lawyer, and I would not know where to begin to explain my story. Find an abuse center where ever you are at this time, talk to a couselor there for advice. Call your local Department of Human Resources and get advice from them. You are in my prayers.

Thanks, PrettyBabe

I appreciate your prayers. I direct any and all prayers to my children as they will be the ones who have to suffer the most if they are given to him!!! Of course I will suffer watching it happen. It is in God's hands and He is the only one who knows the heart of this (fill in the blank...) Thank you again. Feel free to share your story with me if you want. My e-mail is [email protected].
