Hello,

I was living in an "Affordable Unit" in CA until recently; I gave my notice, & I tried to rescind it the next day. I learned a VERY painful lesson that only the landlord can rescind your notice; he refused, & he lied that he had already relet my unit <not true>. I tried re-applying for my old unit, & he has not processed my application. He claims to need to see the entire copy of a confidential medical trust, which makes me nervous. Under the Probate Statute, he is only entitled to a certificate of trust.

OK...So who can subpoena your assets? There is no pending litigation, but I fear this man & have caught him in several lies. He wanted me out for a Housing Compliant I filed against him (he lied his way out of it so there was no renumeration on my end, but he is the unforgiving type).

Also, what info can a nefarious person get with your EIN #? I hear it's just as risky as your S.S. #.

I am desperate to have my old unit back despite the 'risks' b/c it's cleaner, quieter, saner neighbors, & better quality of life despite a suspicious, mean landlord.

Please advise!

Thanks.

:rolleyes:Move at the end of your notice. Your landlord obviously is glad to have your notice AND see you go. Since he probably knew you would not provide the information requested, he knew he could deny your application.

Move-on..
