That's why when one user here said "you don't have a very strong case" and another says "you don't have a case at all" I'd like to know why they think that.
There's quite a process involved with switching from single meters to a pay station -- typically an ordinance change has to be proposed and a public hearing conducted. These are usually covered by the local papers, though perhaps in LA it's not on the front page. :rolleyes: Then it goes to a vote by the governing body, the city council or such, and notices are posted in various places: city hall, website, etc.

So if you LIVE in LA, you're responsible for knowing the city ordinances. If you don't live in LA, you *might* see some lenience, but don't count on it.

Well I guess I'll at least have that going for me...I don't even live in LA county let alone the city of LA.
