Oh ok, now I understand. It sounded like they would look at the totals of the joint account and not just her income which is why I was worried. Thanks for your help.

So if the court does not allow her to relocate the child, you really think she would choose to move rather than to continue raising her child? And you would be ok with that choice? Really???

I think I'm more curious as to the nature of the question to begin with.

I mean...a decent, responsible parent will pay their child support, yes?

Why would the question even come up? Why would a soon-to-be stepparent even be worried about it?

Not that it's our business, but still.
