I live in West Virginia and have filed for divorce from my spouse. We had the Interlocutory Hearing last month, and the Status Conference is coming up at the end of September.
As a Christian, I am extremely troubled with the prospect of proceeding with the divorce. Thus, I was wondering, is there still time to request a dismissal of the current motion toward the divorce, and instead, change it to a legal separation?

You might be able to stall things, but you can't prevent a divorce. AT WORST, your stbx would have to re-file for divorce and have it granted. You can't force someone to stay married to you if he/she doesn't wish to. All you'd accomplish would be to greatly increase the expense and aggravation for everyone involved.
