My ex just recently gave me custody of our son. Ex recieves social security disability. can our child recieve benefits where father gets them? how do i go about getting it started?

Yes, your son may be entitled to monies as well. SSD has dependant payments as well as paying the original claimant. You'll have to contact the Social Security Administration to see if your son is eligible. They can answer all your questions.
