Question is:
My wife and I will be divorced by this year's 2008 tax return and my question is who gets the child tax credit? I have filed a non contest divorce. I pay 100 % child support because she doesn't work and lives with her boyfriend whom she cheated with. She is the primary parent and I get my son on my off days which are not the same number each week. If she intends to re-marry can she or her new spouse apply for child tax credit even though that the only income would come from her spouse and he would be a step parent not biologicalparent to my son?
