What is the name of your state? Alabama

What is the legal (correct) way to sign a person's Power-of-Attorney? A friend of mine had her mom's poa and signed documents: Jane Doe by Jane Doe's daughter, P.O.A.
(The two signatures would occupy two separate lines.)

She was informed this was incorrect, but never told the correct way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So what is the correct way to sign letters and documents as power of attorney? I am preparing a letter as poa and need to know how to sign it.
